Hi Jeni — Oh I just love you and Mattie. Thank you so much for sharing these beautiful personal photos. I ask for his intercession and Mother Angelica’s  also all the time. You have been in my daily prayers for the past 4 years. Ever since I read and learned about your story. You are an inspiration and are cherished by so many.  I know because I pass on The Messenger book to so many. My heart and prayers are with you and all your children always. God bless you. I love you and pray you are doing as well as can be expected.  Thank you amazing woman. ♡♡ PEACE! -- Victoria Stewart your sister in Christ from Santa Barbara, CA

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, MATTIE AND JENI!  I too am a July baby – just a week before Mattie (10th) but quite a few years before him.  My prayers continue to be with you.  I am pretty sure I have a block in the memorial area out your way.  Glad to be part of it.  Peace, blessings and prayers, –  Fr. Leon (Lee) Flaherty, C.PP.S.

How beautiful!  You are so kind and he is so special. Yesterday I shared this [and one of Mattie's books] at a gathering of our eucharistic groups and with my husband, Bryan. We [have given Mattie's books as gifts] at baptisms and First Holy Communion events — very special days. This [e-Peace and Mattie poem] is so special Thank you for sharing. I  will share also. Your friend from Santa Barbara. Love Victoria Stewart

Hi Jeni!! I am so glad that I have Mattie’s words of inspiration and wisdom to guide my family and I in life!! And because of you and your work to continue his message, you are helping to do the same for millions more!! I know that you do many seminars and speaking events. Are there any trips scheduled to Florida? I would so very much love to personally meet you and to hear your words and to be in the presence of your strength!! Enjoy this beautiful day!! Love, Dana. – Dana Muffoletto via Facebook

-

—– NOTE from Jeni: I would love to visit Florida and give a series of presentations there. Since I am unable to fly (due to my ventilator), travel would be a logistical challenge. Not impossible, but quite challenging, so I would want to line up a number of speeches so that it is cost effective and a good use of time and energy. At this time, I have no invitations for any speaking events outside of my local area. I will let you know if that changes and I am blessed with invitations to head south. Peace, and thank you for such a beautiful comment.

Hi Jeni – I am emailing you to tell you about my husband’s matching gift campaign he does through work. Greg works for Traveler’s Insurance and they have this Matching Gift Campaign.  For every employee that donates, the company will match their donation. Greg asked if Mattie’s Foundation could be added and it was. We contributed and Traveler’s matched our donation and he received an email confirming that you should receive a check in 7-10 business days.  I know he told others about it so hopefully you will receive quite a few of these. – Jane Jones, Pittsburgh, PA

NOTE: Thank you, Jones Family!

What a wonderful way to support Mattie’s Foundation!

Mattie’s story has been on my heart for years and when my girlfriend’s little boy, Noah, passed away at only 4 months old, I was reminded again of Mattie. Noah has left an impression on many & we’ve joined together to raise awareness for palliative care for children in support of George Mark Children’s House where Noah spent 58 days with his family. We’ve also celebrated Noah’s 1 year anniversary with Noah’s Kindness Project where random and anonymous acts of kindness were enacted in his memory. Donating to Mattie’s Foundation was my act of kindness as I think the message of peace could use a little help. ;-) Is there any way you can make Noah a champion? That would be a great way to keep his memory alive and of course support your efforts as well? His full name is Noah Atticus Weber.  Continued Blessings. -Andrea Seals (via e-mail)

****NOTE: Mattie’s Foundation is proud to celebrate the life of Noah Atticus Weber. He is now listed as one of our Foundation Champions. Thank you, Andrea, for honoring Noah in this way. Peace — Jeni.

Although I live on the other side of the ocean, I feel really close to the Foundation. Mattie’s books of poetry, the website and especially your book Messenger gave me such a close look into both your lives that it does not feel far away at all. And the message you’re spreading in Mattie’s name is universal, and I think in this day and age the most important one the world needs. If I see what is happening out there: wars, abuse, hunger, animal abuse, environmental damages only for money, and the list goes on and on. I am convinced that the message of peace is what the world needs. We have to continue to sing Mattie’s Heartsong– Jo Tummers (the Netherlands, VIP Member of Mattie’s Peace Club, via e-mail).

To Jeni: I looked once again at Mattie’s website, which is always delightful and inspiring… I’m not surprised that you continue his and your ministry. You have (Rosalynn’s and my) prayers and best wishes, and we hope to see you in the future. Lately we have been concentrating on bringing into reality the hopes and dreams of the Arab Spring movement toward peace and democracy in a number of countries. Our Carter Center has been the primary observer in the elections in Tunisia, Egypt, and last week in Libya. As you may know, I am also one of the Elders, a group of retired political leaders that was established five years ago by Nelson Mandela. Our overriding commitment is to peace and human rights. I had an editorial in the NY Times (and the CC website) recently about our nation’s abandonment of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. I am very proud of your untiring efforts to promote Mattie’s crusade for peace, especially among the young future leaders of the world. Much love, Jimmy. – Former U.S. President Jimmy Carter (via e-mail).

Now in my country, very difficult situation and conditions, also Important events happening (I think you know or maybe heard about what happen in our region). Long time I didn’t enter into Internet because that it was impossible, and nowI am using Internet seldom. Therefore I was very glad and surprised when recently have received messages about the last updating  from your website. I am very glad to know that your Foundation puts words into action. It is simply-remarkable!  I am belief that the advantage of the such will favorably be reflected in all reputation activity also will lift its value-status in the opinion of much people and that will affect the whole concerns with deeper respect , with understanding, for all members and the necessity of all their activity, work.. That purpose achieves Mattie’s wishing to inform for all people, the value and importance of his mission. It’s very important to make remarks constructive, objective and useful for  all for any  sake of the general blessing and universal values, thoughts. I will be so glad if we see in the future forum in yours website when all members or people can talk free together about a lot important things, events and matters. My wish that one day I can visit Mattie’s grave and put bunch of flowers or wreath, my respect, with honor to him. – Ahmed, Yemen (via e-mail)

Dr. Stepanek: Mattie J. T. Stepanek was a fine young man,  and he did so much for us in the short time he was here. Mattie really impressed me.  He will live in our hearts and minds forever… This young man touched my life and impressed me so much. We must continue to keep the Mattie J.T. Stepanek Foundation going.  I know that I do not have a great deal of money but I will continue to give as much as I can… I know that you are doing a lot of good work at the Mattie J.T. Stepanek Foundation. We will never forget, Mattie Stepanek. Respectfully yours, — Thomas L. Van Dusen, Canada (via Contact Us website page)

We enthusiastically support the Mattie J.T. Stepanek Foundation, in tribute and honor of Mattie’s legacy. His courage, life philosophies, and inspiring messages captivated our attention from the first time we met him on TV. His poetry takes us to feelings and thoughts we treasure. We join you, Jeni, in your devoted mission of love for Mattie and your other children, to carry on and expand his wisdom about the worthiness of our lives and the work that we all can do to promote a more peaceful world community. We thank you for your beautifully written and edited books which have allowed us to become a part of your extended family. When the pieces of our personal lives are challenging, Mattie’s spirit, amazing insights and humor help carry us forward. –  Lainie Schwartz & Barry Goldin, Miami, FL (via e-mail)

I wanted to thank you for continuing Mattie’s work as I’m sure it means a lot to me and many others. I’m sure it is a very difficult thing to do but I wanted you to know that it means a lot to me, even a world away from where Mattie carried out his work. Thank you soooooo much! – Ontario, Canada (via Facebook)
