Why does Membership matter?

  • Peace matters, and it begins with a choice. Mattie’s Foundation is a not-for-profit, volunteer-based organization. We do not currently have grants, corporate funding, or high-end donors. We rely on individuals around the world who believe in the important matter of peace, and who understand the need for peace education. We rely on people like you to support us in creating and disseminating our programs and activities. And, your donation and membership support is tax deductible!
  • All Members of Mattie’s Peace Club support the mission and vision of the Mattie J.T. Stepanek Foundation, which is to spread a message of hope and peace for all people.
  • Youth Members of Mattie’s Peace Club (Kids and Teens) learn to celebrate peace as a personal choice in thought, word, and action. Both Peace Club Kids and Peace Club Teens have their own pages to post creative peace reflections. And Peace Club Teens have the option of making a “Peace Journey” from “Peace Teen” to “Peace Ambassador” as they move through Mattie’s ‘Three Choices for Peace’ with a project they create, put into action, and share. Teens may also be eligible to earn Community Service hours for their projects through our Foundation.
  • Adult Members of Mattie’s Peace Club (General and VIP) support the creation and dissemination of our programs, materials, and events, and receive select benefits from Mattie’s Foundation. They also serve as role models for youth who are learning to make choices that support peace — for ourselves and for our world.
  • Sponsor Members of Mattie’s Peace Club (Messengers) support school or youth groups in becoming “Peace Certified” and receive select benefits from Mattie’s Foundation. They set an example for how to share personal resources — time, talent, and treasure — with others.
