Peace Sponsor
November/December 2012
ezStorage, Gaithersburg, MD
When Mattie’s Foundation needed a safe and climate-controlled space to store materials that are a part of our programs, activities, and events, ezStorage eagerly joined our team as a Foundation Advocate. Since 2009, the local representatives of this national chain have supported Mattie’s Foundation through this in-kind donation. Now, during this season of “thanks and giving,” the Mattie J.T. Stepanek Foundation honors ezStorage as our Peace Sponsor Spotlight honoree for the 2012 November-December holidays.

Mattie’s Foundation “Community Involvement Committee” members, Donna Riccobono and Mike Cannarozzi, are happy volunteers at the end of the “2011 Re-Organization Day” at ezStorage where Foundation materials are stored in a safe and climate-controlled unit donated by the company.
“We were familiar with Mattie and his vision through media and through the community,” an ezStorage representative said. “We were contacted by the Foundation several years ago when they were looking for somewhere to store the collections of Mattie’s books and other materials in a safe, climate-controlled location We were pleased to donate a 10×15 storage unit at our Gaithersburg location, and we look forward to a long relationship with the Foundation.”
ezStorage opened its doors in 1987 with a modest 700 self storage units and one simple philosophy – customer care. Today, they offer 41,000 units with more on the way and their philosophy remains steadfastly the same. Although they are one of the largest self storage operators in the country, each and every customer is their first and foremost concern.
Take a tour of any of their locations and their customer focus is evident from the time you pull into the parking lot to the time you leave. ezStorage locations are carefully chosen for customer convenience. Their resident managers ensure top-quality management and customer care. Their obsession with cleanliness and security is everywhere you look, and their customer focus is matched by their competitive pricing.

ezStorage staff welcome you to compare ezStorage to any self storage facility around, and they are sure you will see that the difference is clear… and Mattie’s Foundation agrees! We have been grateful for all of their support — not just the space, but logistic support during our annual ‘Re-Organization Days.’ Inevitably, we will forget to bring some small item, like scissors needed for a project, and the staff is always willing to help and loan us a supply if they have what we need on hand.
Mattie’s Foundation is not alone in receiving support from ezStorage. The company is proud to be involved with many different communities, and they have donated units to many worthwhile organizations. In addition to Mattie’s Foundation, they have helped the Red Cross, The National Cancer Society, local fire departments, scout troops, schools, and so many more!
“We are honored to be recognized as a Peace Sponsor for this amazing Foundation,” a representative said, “and we are so pleased that we have been able to help the Foundation continue sharing Mattie’s work and vision.”

Jeni Stepanek, Mattie’s Foundation Executive Director, grateful for the clean, safe, and climate-controlled space ezStorage donates, and also for the courteous and helpful ezStorage staff — always ready to help (including loaning us the scissors that we forgot to bring on our annual Re-Organization Day).
