Jeni Stepanek represented Mattie’s Foundation with participation at the Montgomery County 33rd Legislative Breakfast during December 2022.

“Many powerful messages, many nifty connections with old friends and new, and many moments of hope for the future of our county, state, and country were apart of this morning’s gathering,” Stepanek said. “Governor-elect Wes Moore–despite being under the weather–his keynote was filled with inspiration and strategies for cultivating community and a good future.”

Stepanek said that it is “always good to see Montgomery County President Evan Glass and Senator Chris Van Hollen, and to spend ‘colleague time’ with dear friend Jenn Lynn. And wow! It was lovely to catch up (even in a brief coffee chat moment) with my dear old friend and mentor, Bob Levey.”

As President of Mattie’s Foundation, Stepanek expressed gratitude for all the support that the organization receives from Montgomery County leaders and neighbors, and also from the City of Rockville and the State of Maryland–as they collaboratively endeavor to bring hope and peace to individuals and communities.
