The Mattie J.T. Stepanek Foundation is excited to announce the election of two new members to our Board of Directors.

Reverend Deacon Dianne Hall retired earlier this year as Chaplain for Habitat for Humanity. She serves as Deacon at Calvary Episcopal Church in Americus, Georgia, where she resides. A former teacher with experience as the Executive Director of three childcare centers, Dianne has a passion for working with children. A long-time supporter of the work of the Mattie J.T. Stepanek Foundation, she is looking forward to bringing Mattie’s messages of hope and peace to youth through volunteer work as a peace trainer and advocate.

Founder of Global Tolerance, Mr. Simon Cohen stepped away from that organization when he became a father and felt a need to realign his priorities. He now utilizes his talents by teaching Open Leadership to social entrepreneurs in Sao Paolo, Bangalore, and Nairobi for the Amani Institute. Since 2010, he has been a storyteller and facilitator for the We Are Family Foundation’s annual Just Peace Summit, named after the vision of Mattie J.T. Stepanek. Simon is excited to bring his skills in helping social change-makers multiply their impact to the Foundation. You can learn more about his work here.
